The Government of Guam Retirement Fund was established in 1951 to provide annuities and other benefits to its members who complete a prescribed number of years in government service.

In addition, the Fund provides benefits to the surviving spouse and minor children of deceased employees and retirees. As a result, employees can accumulate reserves for themselves and their families to meet, without prejudice or hardship, the hazards of old age, disability, death and termination of employment.
